Litter Locker

Litter lockers are receptacles designed for the easy, odorless and hygienic disposal of soiled kitty litter.

Some litter lockers have a can with a wheel that can be turned from the outside and a replaceable plastic bag cartridge that contains a long sleeve of plastic bag folded inside.

As the user cranks the handle half a turn, the wheel pulls a plastic bag from a cartridge and rolls it around the axle of the wheel. The used kitty litter is placed in the plastic bag. As the user turns the wheel the litter is trapped in the rolled-up bag inside the can, while a clean bag is pulled out for the next batch of soiled litter.

To empty the unit the user opens the can, pulls out the wheel that holds the rolled bag and throws it in the garbage bin.

Litter lockers provide a convenient way to clean-up used kitty litter. Litter lockers also reduce odor as it hygienically seals soiled litter clumps inside. An antimicrobial protection prevents the growth of stain and odor producing bacteria. Litter lockers eliminate the need to throw soiled litter in the garbage every time a cat does its business.

Additional Information

Each refill cartridge lasts up to one month to two months per cat. There are no indicators when the bag dispenser is running low, so it’s best to extra refills on hand. Over filling the bag may cause it break resulting in a big mess.

Litter lockers can store up to two weeks of used kitty before disposal is required. Some smell may be detectable when the unit is opened to replace the cartridge so do this in an airy location.

The litter locker unit should be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
